Current Employee - Maintenance Reliability Manager says

"I have been working at Clif Bar full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Very Bad Plant leadership team"

Current Employee - Manager says

"I have been working at Clif Bar full-time Cons: Poor management no chance for promotion women are not treated or paid equally to men"

Former Employee - Manager says

"I worked at Clif Bar full-time for more than 8 years Cons: Disfunctionl teams are common with no clear goals or incentive for improvement. Lack of collaboration and upper management is not motivated to empower"

"I have been working at Clif Bar for more than 3 years Cons: The shift are 12hrs and everyone goes home tired. HR does not support supervisor and will not fully investigate situations in full. The Aspirations and Ingredients that Clif Bar are known for are abused by people in the front office. There are a lot of people who do not speak English and get fired because they can't defend themselves. The turnover is very high"

Former Employee - Production Operator says

"I worked at Clif Bar full-time for more than a year Cons: Management is not understanding at all. They use a lot of intimidating tactics to scare the workers, especially the ones with language barriers. 12 hours of work is also hard on family."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Clif Bar full-time for more than 3 years Cons: The experience doesn't match the hype. The values regarding people are for PR and don't match reality. There is no actual paid maternity leave- just the mandated FMLA- Clif Bar probably has the worst leave policy of any company in the Bay Area."

Current Employee - Marketing Director says

"I have been working at Clif Bar full-time Cons: The company has gone down the toilet. We have been asked to work insane overtime hours, to work through illness, to work when they publicly say we're closed as a marketing gimmick... on top of this, we have to deal with two founders who are both crazy egomaniacs ... because of horrible mismanagement and executive favoritism, it's a real dump. You're better off working at a real corporation who has to answer to the pressure of external stakeholders."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Clif Bar full-time Cons: It's really all lies nepotism and "hooking friends up" is all that matters here make no mistake they will tout high ideals but when it comes down to it. They actually don't matter nor do they play a part in the actual way the company is run. but they sure look nice on paper. If you don't get into a powerful click they will run you ragged lie to your face nonstop and smile the entire time. Until they force you out or fire you I have seen both. This place is not what it's advertised as. But if you go in knowing that you will be better prepared. if you can deal with living the lie, Just don't believe the hype."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Clif Bar full-time for more than a year Cons: Long shifts and weekends when you’re on production shift- The right hand often seemed to not know what the left hand was doing- I often thought “who runs this place?” They’ve been a copacker- but recently took over this bakery themselves and it’s messy. I hope it’s just growing pains, but I hope they figure it out soon. High turnover rate."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Clif Bar full-time for more than 8 years Cons: -Little to no opportunity for advancement due to stagnation and low-turnover of senior management -Creative ideation is encouraged but almost always never comes to life due to budget limitations or risk-averse leadership -Leadership and owners are out of touch with consumer base -Fragmentation of sales/marketing leads to inconsistent consumer marketing -Teams within marketing are at odds with each other, do not operate as a true integrated team -Cross functional team collaboration is encouraged in theory but never executed -Rarely ever proactive and slow to react to consumer insights"

Production operator (Former Employee) says

"they tell you you will have work life balance but no if you not popular you get written for small things no one to talk to you have to talk to the right dept otherwise the answer is I don't know. they tell you the world and don't give you a chance I could do so much more and people don't care about picking up after them selves was told I could be myself but no I could not be myself Cons: need to be day shift to have perks and any office people to talk to"

Production (Former Employee) says

"They don't care about the employees at all. Cons: Everything except the pay."

Production Worker (Former Employee) says

"Work life balance? Where? 12 1/2 hour shifts and more and more we were told “if you don’t volunteer for overtime you will be voluntold” management is disgustingly ingsaying such things while watching all the operators slave away while they sit in the production office. Cons: Management"

Worker (Former Employee) says

"Decent pay but horrible work hours, and the management and hr are cut throat. Other locations may be good but the Indianapolis location is awful from HR to managers and down. I’m sure the owners would not support their morally and ethically bad behavior and business practices. Cons: Just about everything else. Lots of talk- but they don’t walk the walk."

Operator (Former Employee) says

"I’ve already written a review over a month and a half a ago. But it never got posted for some reason. Cons: Everything that management and hr stands for"

Packaging Operator (Current Employee) says

"If you are looking for something that pays decently for the area and has good insurance this is a good place. The shifts are too long, 12 hours plus and most people start out on night shift and have to work their way to days. Cons: nepotism, long work hours, no room for advancement"

Traffic Manager (Former Employee) says

"This place has a culture of a total lack of accountability. When they need something difficult done they hire a contractor and fire them after they complete the difficult task. Cons: too many to list lets call it a culture of no accountability"

Production operator (Former Employee) says

"What Clif Bar promotes is not at all what Clif Bar twin falls is about. Clif Bar outright says you have a voice. If you critique management at Clif Bar twin falls you will be united until they decide you are a nuisance then you will be fired or forced to resign without any prior warning. The equipment is faulty and management looks the other way until something breaks then they point the finger at operators while they sit in their office. The website has a list of benefits that you as a factory production operator don’t get because “it simply doesn’t work” but of corse they don’t tell you any of this until onboarding or not at all until someone brings it up."

Production Worker (Former Employee) says

"Favoritism and nepotism rules at clifbar Twin Falls. If you are unpopular and do not lay low you will ultimatly be targeted and either disciplined or let go. Cons: Not what they sell it as"

Processer (Former Employee) says

"always threatened with write ups in morning group meetings, never an explanation of what is actually going on, they do not practice the alleged clif culture. you are ok if you suck up to the office staff. they want yes sir people and any single person with a hint of a backbone gets let go for un mentioned reasons. they are great at selling themselves but cannot back up their word as a company. I will say the original Emeryville staff has always been amazing and its a shame they get the wool pulled over their eyes on visit. Twin Falls company is absolute garbage with what can you do for me today management. Cons: fake management, lies, no policy follow through"

National Account Manager - Target (Current Employee) says

"Cool, culture. Great brands and growing category. More political than you would expect. Leadership having much change and instability at the moment. Cons: Departures and instability in leadership. Political. Weak on process."

Machine Operator (Former Employee) says

"The job was ok . The pay was satisfying and it had good life and health insurance also a retirement plan alot other things that alot of these jobs don't have it was a good experience. And I enjoy trying something new. And I learn something new everyday Cons: Break was short"

Forklift Operator (Current Employee) says

"The work is good but the hours I don't like."

Procurement Manager-Packaging (Former Employee) says
